UKWCT Cotswold Show 10th and 11th July 2005

What a weekend - VERY hot and sunny... It started on Friday afternoon. Several of us met up at the Show ground to erect the enclosure ready for the weekend ahead. That night I got home not too late - this was not to be the common pattern though!

Saturday was an arrival at the farm for 6:30am. Leave home at 6:10 so get up at 6 - 10 mins to wash and dress, then benefit of being a bloke! We then loaded up merchandise, hitched up the trailer then got the wolves and headed off for the 60 mile drive to Cirencester.

The journeys were all uneventful. On arrival we unloaded wolves and merchandise to our enclosure which had 360 viewing.

The show was not
overly busy, but we
had a steady stream
of people.
Start as you mean to go on. Both wolves always spend a lot of time sleeping at shows.
Their natural pattern is to sleep during the day time, in extreme cases up to 18 hours!

Not quite a wolf, but one of the closest in appearance - the Utonagan
They inflated some balloons, but it was VERY windy, even the pilots were nervous.
      More media coverage.
  Talented ladies on horse back
      Aerial attractions
    Meets are tiring...
The owl and falcon display - to Harry Potter music!
All too soon it was time to go...

Or at least it would have been if someone had
not driven off with the van keys, meaning we
had to wait an extra hour and a half!

All in all, a fantastic time, and met and chatted with some great people. Looking forward to the next show, in Kent - this weekend!
